First Application

Once you've arrived in France, you'll need to complete a number of administrative formalities in order to study and live here.

Student or Inter Visa

If you have a student or trainee visa, you must validate your visa online within 3 months of your arrival in France on the official website for foreigners in France (ANEF). 

The visa validation certificate is equivalent to a residence permit, allowing you to study in France for one year.

Visa for Algerian students, minors and "student competition" (concours)

Algerian students and "competition students" (concours) visa :

You have obtained a student visa with the indication “ apply for a residence permit within two months of arrival " ( "carte de séjour à solliciter dans les deux mois suivant l'arrivée"). You must apply for a residence permit online within 2 months of your arrival in France on the official website (ANEF).

Minors attending school Visa:

You have been issued a student visa for "minors attending school".

As soon as you reach the age of majority (18), you must apply for a "student" residence permit on the official website démarches simplifiées.

How to apply:

1/ Put together your file with the following list of documents. 

2/ Take  an appointment at the SAIEC if you wish to be accompanied in submitting your application

3/ After checking your file, you will be accompanied to submit your application on démarches simplifiées
